Accepting New Clients May 2026

Hi! I’m Lindsey…

Beginning therapy often starts with a quiet realization that something no longer fits. You may feel disconnected from yourself, overwhelmed by expectations, unsure where you belong, or carrying experiences that have been difficult to name. I strive to offer a thoughtful, affirming space where you can explore these questions with honesty, curiosity, and care.

Hi, I’m Lindsey. I am a graduate-level counseling intern and Master’s student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Mount Olive. My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that healing happens through being deeply witnessed, understood in context, and supported as you reconnect with your own voice, identity, and sense of meaning.

I am especially drawn to the intersections of identity, family history, grief, creativity, relationships, and self-understanding. In our work together, I aim to help you explore relational patterns, formative experiences, emotional wounds, and the stories you have learned about yourself over time. I believe therapy can help us better understand the roles we have been asked to play, identify recurring patterns, and develop a more compassionate and authentic relationship with ourselves.

I enjoy working with adolescents and adults, including LGBTQIA+ clients, creatives, and individuals navigating identity exploration, relational wounds, family-of-origin concerns, life transitions, grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, and questions of belonging. I am particularly attentive to clients who have learned to minimize their own needs, silence their inner knowing, or shape themselves around the expectations of others.

My work is collaborative, affirming, and paced with care. I strive to create a space where you can bring complexity without feeling pressured to simplify yourself into an easy explanation.

In addition to my clinical training, I am completing certification through the Certified Therapeutic Game Master Program, where I am exploring the intentional use of tabletop role-playing games in therapy. This reflects my interest in the healing power of story, creativity, imagination, play, and collaborative meaning-making.

I welcome clients who are seeking a reflective, compassionate therapist in training and invite you to reach out for a free 15-minute phone consultation to explore whether working together feels like a meaningful fit.

I currently offer telehealth counseling services to individuals located anywhere in North Carolina. Limited in-person services are available upon request for those in the Winston-Salem area.
